Things have been a bit quiet. Been doing lots of research into ways and means of getting grant/donor fundings for the NGO. By no means easy, especially as am not able to say what project we are specifically aiming to do. All a bit vague at the moment but am enjoying being in TZ.
A follow on from the sacrificial goat…… At first I thought it just a coincidence that I developed quite bad leg aches which made walking uncomfortable. Also difficult to sleep as the aches continued through the night. Then my left hip was affected….but it all cleared after 10 days. I believe the cause was the amounts of uric acid in the goat and particular in its organs which I must have eaten. Something to be aware of….possibly the combination of that and beer bringing on gout symptoms.
Other than that, I visited the Greek Cathedral last weekend which in particular brought back memories of my grandmother. I managed to find my way to Alexander’s hotel and spent a few hours with a Gordon a childhood friend from growing up in Tanga. Our parents were good friends.
I failed to post photos last time…so try again. Firstly Bagamoyo.
