Sun to Wed. Of course at this point I’m in Tanzania…Marangu to Moshi en route ultimately to Dar to catch my flight to UK. There was no mtori so I just had a chapati and spicy tea for Bfast. The bed pillow is very uncomfortable…hard and square. !! But at least I had a warm wash . Went with Joseph into Marangu Mtoni.  Had a choice of seats on the dala dala,  so I sat right in front. Excellent trip…just over 15 minutes to Himo and just over an hour to Moshi. No running out of fuel this time !!

Had a coffee in my usual place near the stage. Decided to check out a couple of different hotels which were near Buffalo. Settled on Kindoroko mainly because only 20,000. Plus it’s an old hotel with lots of character…lots of dark wood and wrought iron fittings. My room on 2nd floor was tiny but very comfortable; lots of hot water if you let the water run for a few minutes.

Arrived Sunday and stayed until Wednesday. Got into a bit of a routine. Firstly breakfast,  which wasn’t too exciting,  consisting of hot drink, water melon, various cereals ( made a nice change), and toast.
Every day…visit to Aroma Coffee house for either ginger or masala tea and use of their WiFi. Kaka’s of course for dinner …2 tandoori chicken and 2 chicken curries. The Police Mess for pre dinner drinks. I sorted out my Airtel sim card. Visited a small supermarket. Drew out cash from the ATM. A relaxing time in Moshi and there’s still more of the town to explore.

I bought my ticket to Soni for the following day. Reporting time 8:30 and 09:00 departure…so a good time to leave.
