Just to complete the year before I forget some of the detail or start repeating myself… Don’t know if I previously mentioned, but met a Mercy uncle who’s son – aged 22 – was killed in a car crash near Mtwapa South coast. He died the 15 Dec and I was on the same road 8 days before. A Matatu ploughed into his car. Very sad.
Last few days of the year spent chilling out. A couple more hefty downpours. But things changed on the 31st. Blue skies and hot sun and Kili came into view.
New year’s very quiet.. I stayed at Market View and at the most there were 5 of us in the bar and at the end I was the only one !! Good atmosphere outside. A pathetic fireworks display, but in a way nice to know that only a few quid had been spent, rather than millions. Looking forward to my 2020 blogs.
